I sit here and think to myself "How can it already be the end of September?? I'm not ready!" However, the Lord has been doing mighty things in our lives and in our preparation for Belfast. For the first time, a few nights ago it hit me, I woke up in the middle of the night and stared around the room thinking "In just a few months I will be looking at completely different walls. I will be living in a different country. How terrifying. How wonderful. But how terrifying!"
There are many parts of this adventure that I am ready for and there are many that I am not. I am starting to fit into my comfortable routine here in Birmingham and enjoying my family who is now nearby.
However, I often feel restless thinking about what is ahead. They don't make moving easy! As we look at applying for Visas in a few weeks, housing, work and evaluating our own sanity we are feeling very overwhelmed.
We have had such wonderful support in prayer and in our finances since we have been in Birmingham. We have been able to put away so much more of our own money than we could have ever dreamed of doing while living in Escondido.
As of right now, between what we have raised, what has been gifted to us, what has been promised to us, and scholarships we have about 33% of our goal achieved! To think back to March 29th sitting at my parents kitchen table, looking around at each other saying "How in the world are we ever going to pull this off?" my heart is full and my head is spinning with the overwhelming grace that God has shown us. We only had our gofundme page set up for 30 minutes and one of my dearest friends from college had already chipped in, it was then that this grand adventure truly started! We know that with continued prayer that the Lord will guide us in raising the rest of the funds and growing us in our faith.
Please join us in this adventure. Please look around our new site! We hope to keep in touch with all of you this way as we express and share what is going on in our lives! If you feel lead to contribute to our cause please contact Harrison or myself on this website or on Facebook, so we can share with you further what the Lord has been doing in our lives.
Soli Deo Gloria
